This succulent perennial has spreading thin fleshy stems that form a prostrate habit. It has thick soft fleshy dull green leaves and the red, orange or yellow daisy-like flowers appear singularly over the plant in a sunny position from spring to early summer.

is naturally found in South Africa growing in well drained poor sandy or light clay soil in an open sunny position and is drought and salt spray tolerant but frost tender.
