This vigorous cultivar shrub has slender woody stems that form a dense prostrate habit. It has lobed coppery green leaves that mature to dark green and the toothbrush-like red to crimson flowers appear in a raceme from spring to autumn.

Royal Mantle Grevillea is grow on for its prostrate habit and foliage. It is planted in parks and gardens as a ground cover or used above a retaining wall as a spill-over. It quickly establishes in 2 to 4 years and is moderately long lived and attracts birds. It is also grown in rockeries or in containers and is available as a grafted standard for formal gardens.
