Felicia amelloidesis naturally found in South Africa growing on coastal sand dunes from sea level to an altitude of 1000 m (3,000 ft) in well drained, moderately fertile moist sandy soils. It prefers an open sunny position and is frost and drought tender.

The Blue Daisy is grown for its rounded habit and flowers. It is planted in small or cottage gardens along borders or used in rockeries. It is also grown in containers and establishes in 1 to 2 years, but short lived. In cool climates it is grown in conservatories or in a glasshouse as a potted specimen. Under glass it prefers a well lit position and watering should be reduced during winter. ID 10
