'Baron Solemacher'

This vigorous variety has few runners and formed a tidy clump that is up to 150 mm (6 in) tall by 457 mm (18 in) wide and is easy to contain. It produces pinkish flowers from late spring to early summer followed by large edible conical red fruit. It is easily cultivated and prefers a sunny to partially shaded position and it grows in USDA zones 4-8.

'Semperflorens' Alpine strawberry
This perennial grows to 300 mm (1 ft) tall and wide and appears in the damp undergrowth in woodlands in Europe including Britain and temporary Asia. The flowers appear from late spring to early autumn and are followed by the larger sweet succulent fruit that is up to 15 mm (? in) in diameter.

'Variegata'
This perennial grows to 300 mm (1 ft) tall and wide and is similar to the species but produces dark green leaves with silver to cream variegations. It is commonly grown in small gardens along front borders for colour contrast and flowers from late spring to midsummer. It prefers an open sunny position and grows in sandy clay loam with a pH range of 6.5 to 8.0.
