This bulbous perennial has broad linear grey green foliage and forms a clump. From early to mid spring it produces apricot yellow cup-shaped flowers that turned orange-to peach with reddish streaks as it matures. It is held above the foliage on a leafy scape up to 350 mm (14 in) tall.

This smaller bulbous perennial has a grey green foliage and forms a clump. From early to mid spring it produces apricot yellow cup-shaped flowers with bronzy sheen that is emphasised in warmer climates and is held above the foliage on a leafy scape up to 300 mm (12 in) tall.
'Bronze Charm'
This smaller bulbous perennial has a grey green foliage and forms a clump. From early to mid spring it produces soft yellow cup-shaped flowers with bronzy-orange sheen and is held above the foliage on a leafy scape up to 350 mm (14 in) tall.
'Red Jewel'
This bulbous perennial has narrow grey green foliage and forms a clumping. In mid spring it produces scarlet red cup-shaped flowers that are held high above the foliage on a slender stem. It prefers an open sunny wind protected position and grows in well-drained organic rich moist sandy soils that are tending acidic.

It differs in flowering during early spring when it produces scarlet red open cup-shaped flowers that are held high above the foliage on a sturdy stem.
