'Sunset Strain'
This group of cultivars have dark green foliage and grow to 76 mm (3in) tall. From spring to summer they produced primrose-like flowers in brilliant shades of pink, salmon, violet and orange and appear profusely in clusters above the foliage up to 150 mm (6in) tall.
These plants are commonly cultivated in rockeries or rock crevices as specimen and planted along front borders in perennial gardens. They are also use in patio pots or planter boxes and are hardy in USDA zones 4-9.
'Trevosia'
This cross between Lewisia cotyledonand Lewisia columbianahas a dark green foliage and produces orange-pink flowers in clusters above the foliage from spring to summer. This colourful perennial is ideal for an alpine garden, window boxe and crevices in dry packed sandstone walls, requiring a sunny position and reliable summer moisture.
