'Strawberry parfait'
Malus hupehensis x Malus atrosanguinea
This small deciduous tree has a moderate growth rate to 5 m (15 ft) tall by 6 m (20 ft) wide with a dense rounded crown. It has leathery dark green toothed leaves that a tinge reddish purple when young and the reddish-brown flower buds open to single pink or pink-tinged white fragrant cup-shaped flowers in clusters during mid-spring followed by yellowish green fruit that is up to 12 mm (½ in) in diameter.

It prefers an open sunny position and grows in most well-drained fertile moist soils that a tending acidic. This tree is resistant to apple scab and powdery mildew and is planted in the parks and gardens as a specimen or used in Japanese gardens and as a bonsai subject.

'Robusta'
This tree has an erect habit with spreading branches forming a fastigiate habit with dark green foliage. It produces large white cup-shaped flowers from mid to late spring. It grows in USDA zones 4-8

'Cardinal'
This tree has upright spreading branches that form a broad crown with a dark green foliage. It produces abundant red cup-shaped flowers during mid-spring and are followed by small very glossy red fruit. This tree is resistant to defoliation in hot humid summers and apple scab or powdery mildew. It grows in USDA zones 4-8
