Forms
There are 4-varying forms.
1)Typical form
This shrub has blue green leaves that are divided into narrow lobes that are up to 2 mm (2/16 in) wide and producers rose pink coloured flowers. It is found throughout the species range.

2) Black flowered form
This shrub has a dark green leaves with very fine narrow lobes up to 1 mm wide and producers sparse black-maroon coloured flowers.

3)Flabellate form(broad leaf).
This shrub commonly has a lignotuber and has blue green obovate leaves that are up to 40 mm (1? in) wide with a cuneate base and serrated margins. It produces showy pink flowers in a small raceme.

4)Lake King form
This shrub has linear leaves up to 10 mm (? in) wide with a incurred apex and producers pink flowers in a small raceme.
