'Silver Dragon'
This rhizomatous perennial has dark green foliage that is striped in silvery white and produces upright racemes of pale lilac flowers during late summer followed by greenish white berries.
It is commonly planted in small gardens between pavers or used as a ground cover and planted along borders for colour contrast. It grows in any open sunny to semi shaded position tolerating light frost and short periods of drought.
It grows to a height of 500 mm (20 in) and may be left undisturbed to form a clump. If required division should be carried out during autumn.
'Variegata'
This rhizomatous perennial is similar to the species and produces foliage that has creamy white margins and pale green centres. It is planted along borders in small gardens or colour contrast and may be grown in patio pots or planter boxes. It is moderately frost hardy and tolerates short period of drought.
