This shrub produces deep lilac-pink flowers that are up to 30mm (1?in) wide otherwise it is simular to the species.

'Vilmoriniae'
This shrub is of garden origin and is upright with long arching stems with reddish peeling bark. They have masses of white flowers with a yellow centre towards the end appearing in early summer.
