This small tree produces yellow fruit otherwise it is simular to the species.

This small tree attains a height of 6m (20ft) and produces single white flowers followed by large red fruity. Otherwise it is simular to the species.

'Crimson Cloud'
This small tree attains a height of 8m (25ft) and produces single red flowers followed by large red fruity.

'Gireoudii'
This small tree produces leaves that are mottled in pink and white otherwise it is simular to the species.

'Masekii'
This small tree produces double pale-rose coloured flowers.

'Paul's Scarlet'
This small tree attains a height of 6m (20ft) with spreading branches to 4 m (12ft) forming a rounded crown with glossy dark green lobed leaves. During late spring it produces double rose-red flowers in tight corymbs at the end of the branches with the new foliage. It is used as a specimen in small gardens or used for street planting producing masses of flowers giving an excellent display. This shrub is very susceptible to hawthorn leaf spot and blight but has fewer thorns than the species.

This large shrub to small tree has a brown furrowed trunk with spreading to horizontal branches up to 8 m tall forming a low rounded crown with dark green foliage. During spring it produces double white flowers in upright clusters that cover the plant. It grows in an open sunny position and tolerates most well drained moderately fertile moist soils. This is a hardy tree that is commonly used in hedgerows or grown as a specimen for shade.
