This smaller shrub grows to 1m (3ft) tall forming a compact dense habit. It has pinkish-red flowers appearing in small clusters in the leaf axils and often obscured by the foliage.
It grows in shrubland on heavy clay loams and is drought and frost tolerant. This plant is available from nurseries but may be difficult to establish preferring a dry warm climate and minimal watering during summer. It is planted in small gardens or rockeries and has a low water requirement once established. (Scale: 1-drop from 3)
