This variable sub-species has several forms including;
Crows Nestform, a single steamed shrub to 2m (6ft) tall with spreading branches that form a rounded habit. It produces bright green flowers that become reddish.
Durongform is a compact rounded shrub to 500mm (20in) tall and wide and produces golden-coloured flowers. It is rarely seen and naturally found in Queensland.
Northernform is a sparsely branched small shrub to 1m (3ft) tall and produces villous green-reddish flowers in terminal clusters. It has narrow lanceolate to linear leaves with strongly recurved margins that enclosing the heavily tomentose grey underside.
