Forms
Upright form
This plant can grow to 2m (6ft) tall with an open rounded habits and produces pink-mauve flowers. It is commonly found growing in scrub along creek beds.
Decumbent form
This spreading plant grows to 400mm (16in) tall and up to 1.5m (56in) growing on creek banks and adjoining hill sides in moist position. It produces pink flowers.
Major Mitchell Plateau form
This prostrate plant grows to 1m (3ft) wide and is found in the subalpine regions in a peaty-sandy soil pockets in exposed sandstone out crops along water courses. It is not commonly cultivated and may be difficult to obtain.
