Cultivars
'Demesne Benjamin'
This shrub is simular to the species but produces mottled flowers with stamens that are pink and mauve that appear during spring. It is suitable for coastal gardens tolerating dry or wet soils.

'Pumila'
This dwarf shrub grows to 1.5m (5ft) tall otherwise it is the same as the species. It is suitable for small gardens tolerating most soil types.

'Tonghi'
This rounded shrub grows to 3m (10ft) tall and wide. It produces bright red flowers during spring and the sparse leaves are larger that the species.
