This hardy plant has lustrous dark green foliage becoming yellow in autumn. The bark of this plant is shed quite early. Smaller than the species.

This plant form a dense rounded compact habit with lustrous green leaves and grows to 3.3m (10ft) high and 4m (12ft) wide.

This cold hardy plant has lustrous deep green leaves becoming yellow in autumn. The bark is shed early on and the new growth is light coral in colour, maturing to light brown.

This plant sheds its bark early on and the new growth is light coral in colour. The foliage is large and shiny.
'Tecumseh Compact'(TM)
This plant has a rounded habit and sheds a light brown bark. It grows to 4m (12ft) high and wide. Otherwise it is very similar to the species.
'Tropical Birch'(TM)
This deciduous tree grows to 10 m (30 ft) tall by 5 m (15 ft) wide with upright trunk and pendulous branches forming a medium dome habit. It has alternate double serrated leaves that are dark green and silver on the underside and during autumn turn golden yellow.
It prefers a full sun to semi shaded position and tolerates periodic inundation and grows on wet soils that are tending acidic. It is frost tolerant and mildly drought resistant. It is planted in parks and gardens as a shade tree or in group plantings along river banks preferring cooler areas.
