'Palace Purple'
This attractive perennial is an upright spreading growth to 600 mm (2ft) tall forming a low mounded habit with bronze-red jagged maple-like leaves. During early summer it produces tiny greenish-cream flowers that have red anthers high above the foliage on a slender scape.

It prefers an open sunny to semi shaded position growing on most well-drained moderately fertile moist soils, and is ph adaptable. The plant is evergreen in mild winter areas and may be cut back hard during early spring to encourage new growth. Propagation is normally carried out vegetatively.
