Variations
There are many variations of the plant and it is commonly cultivated in Australia and the USA.

Grampians Form
This variable shrub is decumbent to upright attaining a height of 2m (6ft). It has larger bright orange-red to yellow flowers and thick elliptical leaves.

Small-flowered Form
This shrub produces small terminal and axillary clusters that are arranged down the stem giving it the appearance of a single inflorescence.

Northern Victoria Form
This shrub forms an open habit and produces terminal and axillary pendant clusters of yellow flowers.

Goldfields Form
This plant forms a dense mound habit to 1m (3ft) with crowded leaves along the stems. The flower colour varies from apricot to pink and red. There are many types available and is commonly cultivated.

Southern Hills Form
This variable shrub is spreading to upright with an open crown up to 2m (6ft) tall with rounded leaves and dull red to cream flowers that are arranged in small racemes. There are many forms of the plant available and is commonly cultivated.
