This perennial Flax Lily grows to 450mm (18in) tall and wide with broad dark green arching leaves. This foliage plant is used along borders or in mass plantings as an understorey tolerating heavy shaded positions.

This plant prefers a cool to temperate climate but will grow as far north as south east Queensland. It grows in most well drained organic rich moist soils but is drought and frost tolerant. It has a low water requirement once established. (Scale: 1-drop from 3)

This Flax Lily grows to 400mm (16in) tall and wide forming a clump with strap-like leaves that have reddish tones during summer and turn red during winter.

The blue flowers appear during spring and are followed by blue berries. It grows in full sun to a shaded position and tolerates drought and frost. It has a low water requirement once established. (Scale: 1-drop from 3)
