'Black Lea'
PBR
This semi-dwarf perennial grass grows to 600mm (2ft) tall with broad green leaves. It produces stunning black flowers from late summer to autumn but is a plant that requires adequate moisture and is burnt off by frost.

During spring it will re-shoot and is planted in parks or gardens along borders or as a specimen plant. It is suitable for coastal regions establishing in 1 to 2 years and has a medium water requirement. (Scale: 2-drops from 3)

'Hameln'

This is a compact form that flowers early with greenish-white spikelets that are held above the foliage and dark green leaves turn golden yellow during autumn.

It is planted in parks and gardens or along roadsides and has a low water requirement once established (Scale: 1-drop from 3), responding to mulch and an occasional deep watering during dry periods.

This dwarf grass grows to 400mm (16in) tall and produces flower heads that are cream coloured with a purple ting from summer to autumn. It requires reliable moisture and is planted in golf courses or in domestic gardens.

It is suitable for coastal regions establishing in 1 to 2 years and has a medium water requirement. (Scale: 2-drops from 3)

'Nafray' PBR
This perennial is smaller that the species growing to 900mm (36in) tall and 800mm (32in) wide. It has a fine leaf with better winter colour and the purplish flower head appears from summer to autumn producing low viable seeds.

Its low viability makes it non-invasive and the plant tolerates drought and frost. It is commonly used in mass planting along roadsides or around commercial sites. It has a low water requirement once established. (Scale: 1-drop from 3)

'Purple Lea' PBR and 'Cream Lea'(R)
This perennial grass is upright to 1.5m (5ft) tall and has mid-green arching leaves. The flowers are a uniform purplish colour appearing from late summer to autumn and the plant is used on golf courses or around commercial buildings.

'Cream Lea' produced cream coloured flower heads otherwise it is the same as 'Purple Lea'. It is drought and frost tolerant and requires a light trim during early spring. It is suitable for coastal regions establishing in 1 to 2 years and has a medium water requirement. (Scale: 2-drops from 3)

'Purple Mist'     Purple Fountain Grass
This perennial is a sterile hybrid that was derived from Pennisetum adavenaand produces upright narrow bronze leaves. The purplish-pink flowers appear above the foliage from spring to winter and both the foliage and flower heads are used in floral arrangements.

It prefers an open sunny position and grows on well drained moderately fertile moist lime free soils that are tending acidic (pH5-7). It is planted in perennial borders or mass planted in large beds and is suitable for containers. During late winter it can be cut back hard to encourage fresh new growth.

'Rubra'
