Cultivars
Some of the following cultivars may only be found in New Zealand.

'Argenteum'

This compact shrub has silvery-green foliage and may be difficult to find.

'Deborah'
This large shrub to small tree has an upright habit with small grey-green leaves with a cream to rose margin.

'Eila Keightley'
This is an erect shrub to 4m (12ft) and has leaves that are variegated from the centre irregularly.

'Irene Paterson'
This shrub has elliptical leaves that mature from white to variegated green and during winter the leaves have a pinkish tinge.

'James Sterling'
This shrub has an upright open habit with blackish stems that are covered in small rounded light green leaves. The leaf margins are undulating and the plant is commonly grown in domestic gardens as filler.

'Marjorie Channon'
This shrub to small tree has elliptical leaves that are greyish green with a creamy variegation around the margin.

'Pixie'
This shrub has an upright slender compact habit with tiny yellowish green elliptical leaves.

'Purpureum'
This shrub has an open upright habit with dark bronze purple oblong leaves giving the foliage a black appearance. May require tip pruning to thicken up.

'Rotundifolium'
This erect shrub has a slender habit with elliptical to ovate grey-green leaves with broad creamy margins.

'Silver Magic'
This plant has silver-grey leaves that turn pinkish during winter.

'Silver Queen'
This shrub has silvery foliage simular to 'Argentum' and was cultivated in Great Britain.

'Sterling Gold'
This small tree has an upright habit with ovate leaves with a central variegation. The mature leaves are completely green with a white mid rib.

'Sunny Boy'
This vigorous large shrub to 3m (10ft) has bright green leaves with creamy yellow margin and black stems.

'Tom Thumb'
This low growing plant has purple-bronze leaves with undulating margins.

'Variegatum'
This plant has silver-white leaf margins.

'Victoria'
This bushy shrub to small tree attains 3m (10ft) in height and has greyish green broadly elliptical leaves with a creamy undulating margin. During winter the margins turn purplish.

'Wendle Channon'
This shrub to small tree has elliptical leaves that are greyish green with a yellow variegation around the margin.
