'Alba'

This climber produces pure white, slightly fragrant flowers in long pendant racemes up to 270 mm (11 in) long with the new foliage.

'Honbeni'
This cultivar produces red-pink flowers in pendant raceme up to 400 mm (16 in) long followed by bronze green new foliage with up to 15 leaflets. The flowering period may vary from early to mid-spring depending on sunlight and moisture availability.

'Kokuryu' syn. 'Black Dragon', 'Royal Purple'
This Japanese wisteria can grow to 10 m (30 ft) tall by 4 m (12 ft) wide and enduring spring it produces purple flowers in a pendant raceme up to 450mm (18in) long. This deciduous vine has bright green foliage and grows in USDA zones 5-9.

'Longissima' syn. 'Kyushakau'
This climber is similar to the species and produces rosy-mauve flowers in a pendant raceme up to 1m (3 ft) long.

'Macrobotrys'
This deciduous climber produces pale-lilac flowers in dense pendant raceme up to 1m (3 ft) long or more. It has bronzy new growth with up to 17 leaflets and is ideal for a pagoda. Flowers appear in the second year and the plant grows in USDA zones 5-9.

'Shiro Noda'
This deciduous vine produces brilliant white slightly fragrant flowers in a pendant raceme from 500mm (20in) to 1 m (36 in) long during late spring. This cultivar has been cultivated for many years and grows in USDA zones 5-9.

'Violacea-plena'     syn.'Double Black Dragon', 'Yae-Kokyuryu'
This deciduous climber produces double lilac-blue to violet flowers in pendant racemes during spring and in autumn the bright green leaves turn butter lemon before falling. It grows in USDA zones 4-10
