Trumpet Narcissi          Division 1
This division is the best known of the daffodils and has one flower per stem with a cup that is as long as the petals. The origin is derived from Narcissus pseudonarcissus. There are many cultivars some listed below.

'Arctic Gold'
This herbaceous bulbous perennial grows to 400 mm (16 in)tall by 200 mm (7µ in) wide and during late early spring it produces bright yellow solitary flowers with a deep golden cup with a scalloped margin, appearing above the foliage on a leafless scape. It grows in USDA zones 3-9.

'Beersheba'
This bulbous perennial grows to 350 mm (14 in) tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and from early to mid-spring it produces pure white flowers with a long trumpet, appearing above the foliage on a slender scape. It grows in USDA zones 3-8.

'Big Chief'
This herbaceous bulbous perennial grows to 400 mm (16 in)tall by 200 mm (7µ in) wide and during late winter to mid spring it produces pale yellow to white solitary flowers with a sulphur yellow cup appearing above the foliage on a leafless scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10

'Bliss'
This herbaceous perennial grows to 400 mm (16 in)tall by 200 mm (7µ in) wide and during early spring it produces solitary white flowers high above the foliage on a leafless scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10

'Exception'
This bulbous perennial grows to 400 mm (18 in) tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and from late winter to early-spring it produces yellow flowers with a long trumpet appearing above the foliage on a slender scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10.

'King Alfred' 1890
This daffodil has large frilled yellow trumpets and flowers early in the season mid to late winter. A true original of this plant may be hard to find as the name is used loosely for other cultivars.

'Spellbinder'

This bulbous perennial grows to 500 mm (20 in) tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and during mid-spring it produces sulphur-yellow flowers up to 115 mm (4½ in) wide appearing above the foliage on a slender scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10.

'White Dream'
This bulbous perennial grows to 400 mm (18 in) tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and during early-spring it produces white flowers with reflex folded petals and a long trumpet appearing above the foliage on a slender scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10.

'Las Vegas'
This herbaceous bulbous perennial grows to 500 mm (20 in) tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and during early-spring it produces up-facing creamy white flowers with a buttercup-yellow trumpet that has ruffled margins. They appear singularly above the foliage on a slender scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-8.

Large-cupped Narcissi      Division 2
This group of daffodils produced flowers 1 to 2 weeks after the Trumpets (Division 1) and has one flower per stem with a cup that is up to 1/3 the length of the petals and grows to a hight of 300 mm (12 in) to 500 mm (20 in). The flowers consist of white or yellow perianth segments and cups in white, yellow, orange or red, some are also fragrant.

'Blimey'
This herbaceous bulbous perennial grows to 400 mm (16 in) tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and during mid spring it produces solitary nodding lemon yellow flowers with a pale yellow cup that has darker yellow margins, appearing above the foliage on a leafless scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10

'Carlton'

Small-cupped Narcissi     Division 3
These daffodils have one flower per stem with a small cup that is less than one-third the length of the petals and grows 300 mm (1 ft) to 450 mm (18 in) tall. There are many cultivars with varying flower colour, some listed below.

'Amore'
This bulbous perennial grows to 450 mm (18 in)tall by 200 mm (7µ in)wide and from late winter to early-spring it produces white flowers with a primrose cup that becomes orange at the rim. It appears above the foliage on a slender scape and grows in USDA zones 4-9.

Double-flowered Narcissi     Division 4
This flower has more than one ring of petals and the cup is indistinguishable from the petals. They grow 300 mm (12 in) to 500 mm (20 in) tall and are late flowering requiring reliable moisture to ensure buds will open.

'Acropolis'
This flower has pure white and orange-red segments that are interspersed.

'Ascot'
This bulbous perennial grows to 300 mm (12 in) tall by 100 mm (4 in)wide and during early spring it produces fragrant double yellow flowers with an orange centre appearing above the foliage on a slender scape. It grows in USDA zones 4-10.

'Dick Wilden'

Triandrus Narcissi      Division 5
Daffodils in this group originate from Spain and can produce a solitary or several flowers per stem. The flowers are pendant or nodding with slightly reflexed petals and the plant grows 150 mm (6 in) to 450 mm (18 in) tall.

This flower has yellow petals and slightly darker trumpet. It is an easy care plant that will naturalise easily.

'Jet Fire'
This miniature herbaceous perennial grows to 200 mm (7µ in)tall and wide and during mid spring it produces solitary flowers that are up to 75 mm wide with strongly reflexed golden yellow petals and a long bright orange trumpet that fades to yellow. It grows in USDA zones 3-8

Tazetta Narcissi           Division 8
These bulbous perennials produce several flowers per stem with the straight-sided cup smaller than the petals, which are normally frilled. They grow 300mm (1 ft) to 400 mm (16 in) tall and may flower from autumn to spring. They may be too tender to grow out doors in cold climates and are commonly grown a glass house specimen plant.
