'Green Dwarf' Dwarf Pin Oak
This dwarf form is slow-growing to 8 m (25 ft) tall forming a dense habit with bright green lobed leaves that turn illustrious rich red to orange during autumn and persist on the tree.
It prefers an open sunny to partially shaded position and it grows in most well-drained to boggy, lime free fertile moist soils, that are tending acidic. It is planted along the borders in small gardens or used in woodland settings growing at a rate of 2 m (6 ft) in 10 years.
'Pringreen' Green Pillar
This fastigiate tree grows to 14 m (44 ft) tall by 3 m (10 ft) tall forming a narrow columnar habit with a central leader and dense upright branching. It has glossy dark green lobed leaves up to 280 mm (11 in) long by 12 mm (½ in) wide that turn bronze to scarlet during autumn, particularly cold climates.
It produces pendant male catkins during spring and is followed by 12 mm (½ in) diameter acorns. It grows in a wide range from sandy clay soils that are tending acidic in an open sunny position and is moderately drought, wind and pollution tolerant. This shallow rooted tree is planted in restricted sites in public areas or along avenues and is used in commercial landscapes.
