The flowers have reddish lower petals with blue-purple standard petals.

'Florentina'
This clump forming perennial has dark green sword-shaped leaves and forms a clump habit. During spring it produces flowers that have white lower petals that are marked in yellow at the base and white standard petals. The dried roots are used to make perfume. (Orris Root)
