Cultivars
'Caespitosa'

This small slow growing conifer reaches 10cm growth in ten years. The fan shaped foliage is deep green and the plant forms a rounded mound habit. Normally grown in a pot with partial protection.

'Crippsii' Golden Hinoki Cypress
This coniferous tree forms an open pyramidal habit when young, and has golden foliage. Pruning will make the plant a more compact form. The tree is planted in formal gardens for foliage colour contrast or is planted along borders for screening.

'Coralliformis'
This upright dense shrub grows to 3m (10ft) very slowly and has twisted cord-like brown branchlets with yellowish to dark green leaves. It is planted in small gardens as a specimen or may be grown as a container plant.

'Filicoides' Fernspray Cypress
This shrub may grow to 1.5 m (5 ft) in an open-sprawling habit with fern- like pendulous branches. Hard pruning results in a more compact leafy habit.

'Juniperoides'
This dwarf conifer forms a rounded habit with small-cupped fan shaped branches with deep green foliage. It requires a secure location, as it is slow growing reaching 150mm (6 in) in 10 to 12 years.

'Kosteri'
This slow growing plant forms layers of fan-shaped green-bronze foliage that appears twisted with an upright to spreading habit. It is a very attractive plant attaining a height of 800mm (30in) in ten years and is suitable for small cool climate gardens.

'Lutea Nana'
This very slow growing upright shrub that forms a tiered pyramidal habit. The foliage is dark green becoming yellowish towards the tips and the plant is used in small temperate gardens for foliage contrast.

'Lycopodioides Aurea'
This very slow growing upright shrub forms a conical habit with sparse branches that are heavily covered in foliage towards the ends. The leaves are a soft-yellow green becoming dark green with age. The plant attains a height of 2m (6ft) in 30 years and is planted in temperate gardens as a specimen for colour contrast.

'Minima'
This miniature conifer forms a tightly packed ball habit with small dark green leaves. It is slow growing and requires a safe place in the rockery.

'Nana'
This slow growing conifer forms a low shrub with upward facing fans of dark green foliage radically arranged to give the plant an air of grandeur.
