'Glauca' syn.Cedrus libani 'Fastigiata'
This large coniferous tree has horizontal branching that forms a pyramidal habit attain a height of 30 m (100ft) by 20 m (60ft) wide. It has foliage that varies from silvery blue to green and is thought to have more stunning foliage than Picea pungensglauca.
The lower branches can sweep to the ground on mature specimens, and it is planted in large gardens and parks for colour contrast.
It produces barrel shaped cones that mature after two years and some forms of the tree have pendant branches, giving rise to 'Glauca Pendula'. It prefers a moist cool environment and grows on deep well drained, rich soils but is a slow growing.
'Aurea'
This conifer has an erect pyramidal habit with gold-yellow leaf tips. It is slow growing attaining 4 metres in 10 years.
'Glauca Pendula'
This conifer forms a broad upright habit with the pendulous branches and has blue-green to silvery foliage with short needles. It is slow growing and reaches 2m (6ft) in 10 years. It takes some time to produce the pendulous branches and the tree is very long lived.
'Fastigiata'
This conifer has an erect pyramidal habit with ascending branches. The foliage is blue-green and the lower branches are horizontal.
