'White Anzac'
This shrub grows to 1m (3ft) tall by 3m (10ft) wide forming a low spreading habit with dark grey-green lanced-shaped leaves. The white bottlebrush flower heads are up to 100mm (4in) long and appear from late spring to early summer and are bird attracting.
It grows in most moderately fertile well drained soils and is suitable for coastal regions. It is used as a tall ground cover or as a colour contrast with other Callistemon species. It is slightly drought tolerant and frost salt spray tolerant and has a low water requirement once established.
'Endeavour'
This shrub grows to 3m (10ft) tall by 3m (10ft) wide forming a compact rounded crown with dark green lanced-shaped leaves. The brilliant crimson bottlebrush-like flower heads appear profusely during spring and are bird attracting. It prefers a full sun to semi-shaded position and is suitable for exposed coastal regions growing on most moderately fertile well drained soils.
It is used in shrub borders for screening or may be trimmed to form an informal hedge. It is slightly drought tolerant and frost hardy and has a low water requirement once established.
'Firebrand'
This shrub forms a compact rounded habit up to 1.5m (5ft) tall and wide and produces strong red bottlebrush-like flower heads that are up to 100mm (4in) long, appearing in spring and again in autumn.
It is used in shrub borders for small gardens and is bird attracting. It prefers a full sun to semi-shaded position growing on most moderately fertile well drained soils. It is slightly drought tolerant and has a low water requirement once established.
'Harkness'
This large shrub grows to 4m (12ft) tall by 5m (15ft) wide and forms a compact spreading habit with weeping mid green lanced-shaped leaves. The red bottlebrush-like flower heads appear profusely in spring and again in autumn and are bird attracting. It grows in moderately fertile to poor soils and tolerates periodic inundation or short periods of dryness but requires protection in coastal positions.
It is used in shrub borders for screening or may be trimmed to form an informal hedge. It is slightly drought tolerant and light frost hardy and has a medium water requirement once established.
