'Camperdownii' Camperdown Elm
This upright tree has a grey-brown scaly trunk with spreading pendulous branches to ground level that form a rounded crown. The large bright green leaves are toothed and form a dense cover over the tree.
It is planted in parks and large gardens tolerating cool conditions. The original tree was a seedling variation that was found in Camperdown house in Dundee in Scotland in the early 19th century.
'Lutescens' Golden Scotch Elm
This upright tree and grows to 20 m (60 ft) tall light 12 m (38 ft) wide forming a narrow domed habit that becomes broad with age. It has broad elliptical to obovate leaves that are 120 mm (4µ in) long by 75 mm (3 in) wide with yellowish new growth that turns green and in autumn becomes golden yellow before falling.
It is moderately vigorous and long lived with the trunk that becomes grey and furrowed and is planted in gardens for summer shade and autumn foliage colour.
'Pendula' Weeping Scotch Elm
Pendula is a graceful small tree with pendulous branches that can reach the ground and are covered in large dark green leaves that turn pale yellow during autumn. Suitable as a lawn specimen for medium size gardens.
