'Raspberry Wine'
This clump forming perennial is upright with mid-green lance-shaped leaves and produces light burgundy coloured flowers with a yellowish centre.
'Stella Bella'
This Day Lilly forms clumps with evergreen strap-like foliage and produces golden yellow flowers that appear consecutively for up to six months of the year requiring little care. It is very suitable for landscapes that are self maintaining and used in drifts or edging and on embankments. It prefers a full sun open position and grows on well drained organic rich soils tolerating frost and dry periods.
It has a low water requirement once established (Scale: 1-drop from 3) and responds to mulching and an occasional watering during dry periods.
Species
H. aurantiaca
This plant has long linear leaves with large orange flowers that grow above to a height of 300mm (1ft).
H. fulva
This clumping plant reaches 1m (3ft) tall and has trumpet shaped orange-red flowers with dark strips up to 150mm (6in) dia.
H. lilloasphodelus
This plant forms a spreading clump has yellow fragrant flowers in clusters of 3 to 9 blooms.
