'Hybrids'

The hybrid plants are clump forming with large broad glossy green leaves. The trumpet-shaped white, yellow and orange to red-scarlet flowers appear in clusters held above the foliage during spring.

The plants prefers dappled light but will tolerate full shade producing less flowers and grows on most well drained moist fertile soils. Once established they tolerate dry conditions and are frost tender requiring a protected position.

It has a low water requirement once established (Scale: 1-drop from 3) but responds to mulching and an occasional watering during dry periods. They are planted along borders or used as an understorey for garden beds and may be grown in containers for shady patios.
