'Ann' Magnolia stellata 'Rosea' x Magnolia liliiflora 'Nigra'
This shrub grows to 3 m (10ft) tall with spreading branches forming an open habit and produces erect deep pink flowers that fade towards the apex and are up to 400 mm (16in) wide. It flowers during spring and is also one of the Little Girl Magnolias, growing in zones from 5-8.
'Rosea'
This shrub has an upright multi-branched compact habit to 1.5 m (5ft) tall and wide. It produces fragrant star-shaped white flowers that are flushed pink at the base. It prefers a protected sunny position and is ideal for small gardens or tubs.
'Royal Star'
This slow-growing shrub is upright with spreading branches forming a compact habit to 6 m (20ft) tall. It produces, slightly fragrant snowy white, double flowers from early to late spring and prefers a protected sunny position on acidic soil. During winter, the naked branches have attractive bark and the large pubescent buds are a feature.
'Rubra'
This upright shrub has a compact bushy habit and produces pale pink flowers with a longitudinal stripe on the underside.
'Waterlily'
This small shrub has an upright open habit and produces star-shaped many petalled flowers that are pale pink fading to white.
