Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in a well-drained media. The seeds should be nicked or soaked prior to sowing.

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer should be placed in a dryer less humid protected environment. Avoid misting benches and bottom heat.

It has been successfully whip grafted onto G. robusta.

Botanic information
Leaf: The flat dark green sessile leaves are ovate in outline (tripartite), up to 50 mm (2 in) wide and are divided into 3-deep primary triangular pungent lobes up to 33 mm (1¥ in) long and, may be again divided into 2-3 narrow triangular to sub-linear lobes that are up to 35 mm (1? in) long. The leathery textured leaves have shortly recurred margins and a prominent mid-vein and secondary veins. The upper surface is glabrous and the underside is slightly silky.

Flower: The narrow tubulate flowers have reflexed white to cream perianth segments that are up to 3 mm (? in) long and a protruding white pistil to 4 mm (? in) long. The flowers have a pedicle to 8 mm (¥ in) long and are arranged in an erect axillary, domed raceme up to 15mm (? in) long by 20 mm (µ in) wide and are accompanied by tiny ovate bracts. The flowers open consecutively from the base during early spring.

Fruit: The glabrous oblong-ellipsoidal slightly rugose follicle is up to 9 mm (? in) long by 5 mm (? in) wide and contains obovoid ellipsoidal smooth seeds that are up to 6 mm (¥ in) long by 3 mm (? in) wide and have a broad membranous margin. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
