Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in a well-drained media. The seeds require the standard peeling treatment prior to sowing.
Semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer should be placed in a dryer less humid protected environment. Avoid misting benches and bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The densely pubescent grey green terete linear leaves are up to 40 mm (1? in)long and are divided into 3-4 pointed segments. They are sharply ascending and are arranged densely along the creamy white woolly branchlets.
Flower: The pinkish white to green sessile tubular flowers are up to 25 mm (1in) long and shortly 4- lobed with a partial split down one side with an exserted style that is up to 40 mm (1? in) long. They are arranged in a cluster or singularly amongst the foliage and appear from winter to summer.
Fruit: The small brown ellipsoid nut is up to 6 mm (¥ in) long and is accompanied by dry bracts. the tiny seeds of viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
