Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle then grow on before planting out.

:Eucalyptusand Corymbiaspecies are fast-growing and should be planted when the young in order to establish a strong root system.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.

Botanic information
Leaf: The grey green lanceolate to ovate intermediate leaves have a short petiole and an entire margin. The leathery textured adult leaves are narrow to broad lanceolate with an acute apex and a petiole up to 20 mm (µ in)long. The pendant leaves are glossy grey green and concolorous.

Flower: The broad fusiform buds have a conical operculum that is broader and slightly longer than the smooth hypanthium. The creamy white to yellowish flowers have a pedestal of 28 mm (1? in)long and 3-7 are arranged in a terminal umbel on a peduncle that is up to 20 mm (µ in) long and appear during early summer.

Fruit: The cylindrical to campanulate (bell-shaped) smooth woody capsule has a depressed disk and the valves are level with the rim or are sharply exserted. They contain numerous tiny viable seeds.
