Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. The seeds may require scarification and may take up to 2 year to germinate.
Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer and Insert in a well-drained but moist media and place in a protected environment until roots appear.

Botanic information
Leaf: The soft textured lanceolate leaves are up to 75 mm (3 in) long and are covered in silvery-whitish tomentum with an acute to accumulate apex.

Flower: The orange red tubulate flowers are 2-lipped with a curled lower lip and a 4-lobed upper lip. The 4-stamens protrude from the corolla and the flowers appear in the leaf axils singularly or in a loose cluster from winter to early spring

Fruit: The 2 to 4 chambered hard and woody drupe is indehiscent, dry and sometimes splitting at the apex. There are 1 to 3 hard-coated seeds per chamber and they are difficult to germinate. The plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
