Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in flats and pick out when large enough to handle. Scarification of the seed is required and in natural habitats low intensity fire stimulates germination.
Stem cuttings taken during the growing period should be placed in a very well-drained media in a protected environment.

Botanic information
Leaf: The tiny leaves have been reduced to pungent scales that appear along the short branches.

Flower: The small yellowish papillionate (pea shaped) flowers are reddish-green In the centre and appear in a small raceme all cluster along the terete stems in the leaf axils during late winter.

Fruit: The small inflated triangular pod is up to 10 mm (? in) long and has a large beak at one end and contains several hard coated seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
