Propagation
Sow seed when ripe in pots and place in an open frame to germinate and keep moist.
Division of established clumps during spring and pot up or plant directly in situ.

Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green long linear leaves are up to 150 mm (6 in) long by 2 mm wide with a long acuminate apex. both surfaces are covered in short greyish pubescence and the margins are ciliate. The leaves are upright at first then becoming lax with age.

Flower: The sessile golden yellow cyathiform flowers have calyx lobes up to 70 mm (2? in) long and in are arranged in a globular cluster that is held above the foliage on a slender scape that is up to 200 mm (7µ in) long and appears from winter to spring.

Fruit: The small 3-celled capsule contains numerous seeds. The tiny seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
