Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi-hardwood cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.

Botanic information
Leaf: The large mid green broad ovate leaves have sinuated to lobed margins and a prickly pubescent upper surface has prominent venation. The apex is acute and the pubescent greyish petiole is up to 150mm (6in) long.

Flower: The rotate flowers have spreading acute lobes with ruffled margins and a yellow centre. The colour fads from bluish-violet to white-pink and they are several arranged in an axillary cyme that appears from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The green globose pendant berry has a short stalk and contains many seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively. The fruit is poisonous and if ingested they may cause stomach upset.
