Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).

Take semi hardwood cuttings during early summer and placed in a well drained media on a misting bench.

Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green ovate to broad oblong leathery textured leaves are up to 330 mm (14 in) long by 100 mm (4 in) wide with an abrupt acuminate apex and a cordate base. The petiole is up to 12 mm (½ in) long and the leaves are arranged distichously as the twigs twist to bring opposite leaves on the same plane. The new foliage is rosy pink and the leaf underside is dull green.

Flower: The white broad campanulate flowers are up to 60 mm (2? in) wide and have 4-8-white obovate petals and 50 inward facing exserted stamens. The 6-sepals are thick textured and reddish on the outside and the pedicle is up to 40 mm (1? in) long. They are 3-20 flowers arranged in a nodding terminal corymb that appears during spring or sporadically throughout the year in tropical regions.

Note:
The nocturnal flowers have a scent that resembles sour milk and pollinated by bats.

Fruit: The dry mature sub-globose capsule is up to 40 mm (1? in) long and wide with 6-9 valves and is accompanied by the persistent calyx and style. It contains numerous seeds that are up to 6 mm (¥ in) long. The seeds are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
