Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during early spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle. Grow in pots for one season before planting out.

Botanic information
Leaf: The dark glossy dark green leaves are lanceolate to elliptical, up to 45mm (1µ in) wide with a long acuminate apex and a short petiole. The upper surface has numerous oil glands and the midrib and lateral veins are depressed with 2-obvious intermarginal veins. They are arranged on 4-winged branchlets that unite to form 2-pockets.

Flower: The tiny white flowers have a green calyx tube that tapers to the short pedicle and has broad lobes. The tiny petals are orbicular and the numerious white stamens are exserted. The flowers are arranged in an open terminal panicle and appear during spring.

Fruit: The variable size purplish globular capsule is up to 15mm (? in) in diameter with the valves are inserted. The green peduncle is long and the fruit is arranged in a cluster and is a feature of the plant.
