Propagation
Sow fresh seed when ripe in a well drained media and place in a greenhouse or cold frame and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F). Germination occurs within 3-15 months and then prick out and grow-on in a greenhouse for one season.
Take semi hardwood cuttings of the current season`s growth up to 100 mm (4 in) long during early summer and placed in a well drained media then place in a cold frame.

Botanic information
Leaf: The thick textured glossy dark green ovate leaves are up to 40 mm (1? in) long with an obtuse apex and a rounded base with a petiole up to 10 mm (? in) long. The margins are serrated and the leaves are arranged alternately but appear opposite with an enlarged stipule along the woody branchlets.

Flower: The tiny deep yellow apetalous flowers have 4-5 lobed calyx and exserted showy stamens. The slender pedicle is up to 10 mm (? in) long and numerous flowers are arranged in a dense corymb that appears in late spring amongst the foliage.

Fruit: The small greenish berry is up to 12 mm (½ in) wide witha persistent style and calyx lobes and appear in an upright cluster. The small seeds are viable but have a low germination rate, less than 30% so the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
