Propagation
Sow fresh seed when ripe in a very world drained media that contains some charcoal or has been smoked for 15 minutes. Seeds should be fully ripe before harvesting off the plant.

Division of the clump during the dormant period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery smooth textured lanceolate to ovate leaves have 3-5 deep lobes with acute apexes and a slightly ciliate margins. The underside is pale green with prominent venation and the leaves fall from summer to autumn.

Flower: The bisexual cyathiform flowers have 3-sepals and 6-free obovate white petals that have a crinkly appearance and have a mass of glossy yellow stamens in the centre. The petals are soon shed after pollination and the ovary is superior. The flowering period is long extending from early to late summer.

Fruit: The oblong to ovoid bristly capsule is dehiscent from the top and contains numerous dark brown ovate seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
