Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in containers during autumn or spring and place in a cold front to germinate.

Softwood cuttings taken during early summer and place in a protect environment until roots appear.


Botanic information
Leaf: The trifoliate leaves have 3 rarely 5 ovate to lanceolate sessile leaflets with entire to crenate margins and are up to 76mm (3in) wide. The upper surface is a glossy dark green and the underside is pale green. The leaflets have an acute apex and the petiole is long.

Flower: The bisexual and male stellate flowers appear together in the same compound cyme. The flowers are composed of 4-5 calyx lobes and spreading greenish-white petals and both are imbricate in bud. The 5-stamens are exserted and the ovary is superior and the flowers appear during early summer.

Fruit: The light green orbicular samara matures brown and is surrounded by a membranous wing. It contains 2-seeds and pendant clusters of the fruit are persistent on the plant until midwinter. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
