Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in containers during autumn and place on a cold frame.
Note:
During the dormant period the plant should be kept dry as it is susceptible to rot.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves are linear to narrow oblanceolate and with an acute apex and a thick fleshy texture.
Flower: The expanded funnelform flowers have 2-sepals and up to 8-oblanceolate petals with reddish margins and tips that are up to 18 mm (?in) long. They are arranged in a small cluster just above the foliage on a slender scape that is up to 80 mm (3?) tall and appears from late spring to summer.
Fruit: The small capsule has 2-3 valves and contains numerous glossy dark seeds with shallow warts. The tiny seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
