Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn or spring in containers and plant out when large enough to handle.

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during the growing period and placed in a well-drained media. Keep moist until roots appear.


Botanic information
Leaf: The thick textured mid green leaves are elliptical to ovate with pinnate venation and are covered in fine pubescence and are up to 12 mm (½ in) wide. They have a short petiole and are arranged in whorls of 3's along the stems.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have 5-pubescent calyx lobes and a 2- lipped corolla with the lower lip closed at the mouth. The pedestal is up to 20 mm (µ in) long and the flowers are arranged in an axillary raceme that appears during spring.

Fruit: The ovoid asymmetrical capsule is dehiscent near the apex and contain numerous ridge thin seeds that are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
