Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. (66º to 77º F).

Soft tip or semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer to early winter and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile green or grey-blue variable leaves are oblanceolate or oblong to elliptical, ovate or spathulate and up to 40 mm (1? in) wide by 5 mm (¥ in) thick. The upper surface is glaucous and the apex is acute to acuminate.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a short erect pedestal to 15 mm (? in) long with calyx lobes to 6 mm (¥ in) long and connate acute petals up to 15 mm (? in) long and are pale or bright yellow to red. They are arranged in a spreading branched cyme that is held above the foliage on a leafy scape that is up to 300 mm (1ft) tall and appear during summer.

Fruit: The erect two spreading small follicles contain numerous seeds that are up to 1 mm long and narrowly ovoid. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
