Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring or autumn and maintain a temperature of 10º to 13º C. (50º to 55º F)
Soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Root cuttings during winter.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery textured blue-green leaves are lanceolate to broad lanceolate, up to 45 mm (1µ in) wide. They have an obtuse to acute apex and the petiole is a short.
Flower: The funnelform flowers have 2-deciduous sepals and 4-free obovate petals that are up to 30 mm (1? in) long with ragged margins. It has numerous dark yellow stamens and the petals are shed after pollination. The flowers are arranged solitary in the leafaxilson a long pedestal and appear from spring to autumn.
Fruit: The cylindrical capsule is dehiscent from the base and contains numerous seeds that are up to 3 mm long. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
