Propagation
Stratified seeds under cool moist conditions at -1.6ºC (35ºF) for 60-180 days before sowing during spring.

Stem layering during the growing period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The pinnate leaves have 3 to 5-ovate to lanceolate leaflets with serrated margins that are up to 50 mm (2 in) long. The colour varies from dark glossy green to silver-green with pinnate venation.

Flower: The dioecious crateriform flowers have 4-creamy white lanceolate petal-like sepals and numerous exserted whitish-yellow stamens that radiate out from the centre of the flower. The flowers are arranged singularly or up to 5-blooms in an axillary cyme that appears during spring.

Fruit: The fruit contains many elongated achenes with a feathery style forming a silky seed plumes. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
