Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are predominantly basal with some stem leaves and are narrow-lanceolate with a cuneate base. The apex is long acuminate and the margins tend to be recurved. They persist on the plant during the flowering period.

Flower: The rotate flower is composed of spreading ovate to lanceolate sepals with an acuminate apex and are up to 30 mm (1? in)long. The pale yellow lanceolate petals are joined at the tips forming a globular shape and have ciliate margins. They are arranged singularly or in a small cluster with a short pedestal and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The oblong nodding capsule is winged and contains numerous dark brown seeds. Allow the fruit to ripen and dry on the plant before collecting the seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
